Dear Friends,
I am always grateful for the times we have been able to connect as class friends. Thanks Bob and Patty and Rex for doing such a great job of this!
We are also connected by a common humanity and school history. This weekend is a history-changing weekend. Friday… the day that Jesus took on our sin, “kicked the hell out of our lives” by being executed on the cross and proclaimed once and for all “It is finished!”
This day is also preceded by the time that Jesus sang a hymn with His disciples just before heading down the road to His death. The Gospel of Mark records that after Jesus had eaten the Passover meal with his disciples and knowing that death on the cross was imminent, “they sang a hymn before going out to the Mount of Olives.” Mark 14:26
So, whatever your station is today, go ahead and sing… because Sunday is coming and “love’s redeeming work is done.”
Have a great weekend,
~Wynn
P.S. I’m certain that I’ve missed several addresses or have the incorrect ones. Thanks for any additions or corrections.
