The best guard dogs in the world according to Newsweek (July 2021)… the popular German Shepherds, Boxers, and Rottweilers along with several I’d never heard of… Beaucerons, Estrela Mountain Dogs, and Boerboels.
We guard what is valuable to us. The greater the treasure, the more we’ll pay for its security. How about paying upwards of $200,000 for a German Shepherd? That’s the price some customers are paying the Harrison K-9 Training company to guard their valued possessions.
The Newsweek article goes on to say that there are a number of traits that are common to all great guard dogs… including protective jealousy and the desire for human companionship.
God has guarded what is most valuable to him. Our soul, the very core of you and me… the eternal you and me. It is the “you” that God guards with a protective jealousy, even the cost of His Son. Why? Because you and I have been created in His image for an always relationship.
