Some conversations change lives. Some change history or change both.
The physician tells the family that “it’s stage four and it’s inoperable”. Lives forever changed.
On June 12, 1987, President Ronald Reagan spoke these words, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall”. History forever changed.
Winston Churchill, before the House of Commons in June 1940, “we shall never surrender”. The free world was changed and sustained.
The authority of the one speaking makes all the difference in the outcome.
Jesus, Creator and Sustainer of all things, said to Peter (and to us) “Satan desires to sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith would not fail…” Luke 22:31
Three realities. Sifting will happen to us. Jesus prays for us. And God will answer the prayer Jesus has prayed for us… “that our faith will not fail”.
As God incarnate, He can do no other.
